Kenmure Temple, Castle Semple
This octagonal building dates from after the building of Castle Semple house in the 1730s. It is generally thought to have been built as a "folly" or landscape feature designed to be seen from Castle Semple House. After the breakup of the estate in the 19th century the building fell in to disrepair, losing its roof and all internal floors to the condition you see today.
