Mulberry Harbour Memorial, Garlieston, Dumfries & Galloway
There's already a photo of this memorial in the gallery but at the time I took the previous one I didn't realise there are still bits of the Mulberry harbour on the shore across the bay from Garlieston. If you look on either side of the flag pole on the shore you'll just be able to make out two concrete structures that were 'Beetles'. The floating pontoons that carried the roadway from the pier to the shore. Map location.
