The North east Passage Grave, Clava
Dating from some 2,500 B.C. it would originally have been around 3m high with a covered chamber in the centre created by overlapping stones. After a period of use the chamber was closed and the cairn was surounded by a ring of standing stones, the highest towards the entrance and where the winter sun rises.
