Ardvreck Castle
Situated on a peninsula on Loch Assynt, Advreck Castle was built in the 16th century by the Macleods of Assynt.  The Royalist James Graham, Marquis of Montrose was imprisoned here before being taken to Edinburgh for execution in 1650.
