Mount Mckinley, Alaska 1985
I was assured that one of the peaks you see in the top centre of this photo is Mount McKinley. At around 20,000ft it is the highest peak in North America. Since 1985 the mountains name has reverted back to Denali, the name given by the iKoyukon people who have always lived in the area. The reasuring outline of the inboard engine of a Boeing 747 is in the foreground.
