Castle Sween
Built in the late 12th century as a quadrangular enclosure with buildings on the inside.  The towers were added in the 14th and 15th century. It was held by the Stewart earls of Menteith from 1262.  After a period in the hands of the MacDonald Lord of the Isles it reverted to the Crown in 1481.  It was abandoned in 1645.
