The Viggen was a single engine single seat Combat aircraft which first entered service with the Swedish Airforce in 1971.  The Viggen was the most advanced fighter built in Europe until the Tornado entered service.  329 were produced between 1970 and 1990, the aircraft was retired in 2007.
